How to be A Content Creator?
Hello Friend,
I am back. It's been ten days since my last post here. I wanted to keep up this blog and try to engage in my day-to-day life but it seem a bit far-fetched. To be honest, I am planning to post once a week but let's see later. Being consistent as a writer sometimes takes your energy (energy to think, I think it's overwhelming compare to energy you push for running).
So, where were we? Oh Yeah, I am going to be talking about what is content creator as a job? and how to make yourself sure that you want to be one of them?. Lately I have been binge-googling on how to be a good content creator. Firstly, prior to tips on how to be a good creator, I am going to let you know what is content creator. Based on Google a content creator is anyone who creates digital content including a professional content creator who is able to build an online community and monetize their output. For sure, it is a bit complex due to its definition. To make it simpler, keep in your mind that a content creator is anyone who creates digital content whether it is monetized or not. It's back to you at the end of the day, monetizing or not, so you call the person who creates digital content is a content creator.
For me, yeah sure, I will call anybody who creates anything related to digital content is a content creator. Take this as an example, once you find a mesmerizing youtube channel, you check the subcriber number shows 2k subcribers then you think that this person deserve more subcribers. Two years later, You find the same youtube channel on your page recommendation then you click and find that the channel has more than 200k subcribers. If I were you I would call the person who owns the youtube channel as a content creator at the first I found the youtube channel only showed 2k subs. I don't know, I just don't see a person or people in general based on numbers. Many call him as a content creator once they find the youtube channel has gain more and more number of subs.
Once again, I see a content creator based on what he or she creates with his or her idea. I remember when my friend who is a content creator who creates cooking video on his own youtube channel replied to me "Hey I am not into showing my face because I am no a camera face person" after I was wondering and asking him why he didn't want to show his face on his cam. Later, I am quite happy since nowadays he has posted videos with him ( and his face, not only his both hands these times). People are not so confident when it comes to showing their faces on a cam. I am not too even until now I have no video posted on my youtube channel which I have been planning on it three years ago. I think I don't deserve by questioning my friend who previously never showed his face in his videos. I am not a content creator yet and how I could dare ask that silly question whereas he has created hundreds videos while I have created none.
Beyond all not-so-confident personality, I ask myself the same question several times, like: Am I ready to be a content creator? Do I need to be a youtube so as to being a content creator? Nope, Here I strongly believe that if you wanna be a content creator there are several platforms, like: Podcast, Tiktok, Twitter and othe social media platforms. As long as you believe that by creating several digital content and have a number of followers or subcribers so, yeah you are a content creator. Do not wait until you reach 100k Subs so you late-claim yourself as a content creator. If you ask me, when is the right time you sel-proclaimed yourself as a content creator? I'll say after you post one digital content on your digital platforms, by heart, you are the real content creator. Not to brag or being so arrogant but try to be more confident and dare.
I, myself, think that this blog is never going to bring me to a position where I call myself as a content creator (to be true, a content writer). I am wrong, sure, why? just because I am not popular now due to contents I have created until now. It doesn't mean that in the future ahead, this won't get its recognition later. Raditya Dika, who once owned a blog, got his first debut through blog platform in 2000's. This initial effort will be fruitful piece of art without us knowing it. Once you find it gets its recognition, you'll thank me later.
So finally, How to be a content creator? Well, you can start from now on, jotting down your idea on a sheet of paper, preparing your camera or phone, shooting or creating your concepts, posting it on your social media or any kind of digital platform, and voila! You are now a content creator. I almost forgot one thing, being as original as you could possibly be is also very important as well. Since people will recognize you based on your originality. I am gonna wrap it up by saying if you are by heart calling yourself as a content creator, please so let it be. You don't need people's recognition, just do the best as you possibly do. See you around guys... Bye for now.
Thanks a lot, it's helpful...
